Gotta Catch Conan

Tomorrow starts the release of the Comic-Con schedule so I wanted to cover a couple things before it gets even more crazy.

Pokémon GO is available

While it wasn’t on the ITunes App Store earlier today, this evening when I checked again, the Pokémom GO app was there and I grabbed it. From my first experiences with the game, it seems to be an enhanced type of Ingress which is also a Niantic property.  The game uses your phone’s GPS for location info and then uses the camera for finding the Pokémon out in the real world. It seems kinda cool, but I fear that like Ingress, it will get old after a while. The biggest concern I have is with my phone battery life – these types of games go through batteries like they’re going outta style. 

In any case, I’m gonna give the game a workout tomorrow as there’s not many Pokémon to catch in my house. Hopefully there’ll be a few around my workplace.
