Poro King Redux

Legend of the Poro King

This weekend’s random game mode was Legend of the Poro King in League of Legends and I went indefeated.  I only had time to play 3 games, but Zyra is really good at this game mode right now. Usually I start working towards a Rod of Ages so I have health and no mana worries.  Then I go for Liandry’s Torment so I get magic pen and the DOT. Next I either target the Morellonomicon or Rylai’s depending on if I need the slow or the cool down reduction. Once I get one, I’ll grab the other next. I’ll finish off usually with Void Staff to top off my magic penetration. Sorc boots go in there somewhere as well. For Zyra, MPen is usually better than AP since the plants don’t gain as much from AP.  In any case, all the plants Zyra can throw down with her passive and W are great at either stopping the Poro King or taking advantage of when he’s on you team.

The main thing to look out for with Zyra is that you have no escapes. It’s not as bad on the ARAM map, but you gotta be careful on the standard map.

Oh well, with the beautiful weather I didn’t stay in the house playing games all weekend so I didn’t get much else in.  I still haven’t made the leap into Overwatch…maybe this week.
