This week in League of Legends Ascension was the random game mode. We just ran through this mode about a month ago but this time we’ve got the latest mid season Mage update. I’m still not so sure about my favorite, Zyra, after this update.  She’s actually getting banned every once in a while now – I haven’t had to deal with that since I played Morgana all the time after the last Mage update. In any case, Zyra is still pretty good though I hate that she lost her old passive. Getting so many plants now is fun, but I really enjoyed shooting people after I died. In this game mode, Zyra does pretty well – especially WITH all her new plants. They can act as sentries near the crystals and they definitely help stop people from collecting them. The mode is still fun so I’m sure I’ll get a bunch of matches in this weekend. 

The Amazing Race

Hmm…I’m haven’t been too into this season, and if I think about it, I haven’t liked the last few seasons. I can’t really put my finger on it, but these last few seasons don’t seem to have any teams I really like…they all seem to contain either one or two annoying people or they lose in the first two episodes. And this season seemed to focus on so many physical tasks and so little on puzzle tasks. It just seems like the excitement is gone from this competition. Anyway, I bring it up because I just watched the finals for this season.  I’m not too surprised by who won, but then I wasn’t really invested in any of the remaining teams…I guess if I had a favorite it would have been Sheri and Cole, but like I said, I only liked Sheri…Cole was kinda useless. Dana and Matt spent too much time yelling at each other, but I suppose congratulations are in order for them.  Hopefully next season will be better.
