84 Days Until the San Diego Comic-Con 2016
With 84 days left until San Diego Comic-Con 2016, off-site events are starting to sell tickets.
SherlockeDCC will be having their 4th annual event at the San Diego Public Library on July 22 at 7:30. I’ve never gone to this meetup, but it sounds cool. I’m a big fan of Sherlock Holmes in the current Cumberbatch incarnation and many of the previous versions. I even watch Elementary with it’s own version of the sleuth and his Joan Watson sidekick. Tickets for the event go on sale Sunday May 1 so as you can see, things are coming fast.
wOOtstock 8.0 is also coming back to San Diego. On Thursday July 21 at the Balboa Theatre at 7pm. It looks like the tickets are already on sale, but Ticketmaster is one of the few websites that exist that still requires Flash. Since I’m on my iPad, I’m not able to see/order anything from them, so I’m not sure. This event will feature Adam Savage and Wil Wheaton…actually, I just checked another site and tickets ARE on sale. Things should be interesting since the Mythbusters are gone from TV…it’ll be interesting to see what Adam has been up to now that he’s not attached to Jaime.
On another note, the parking lottery closed over the weekend so they should be sending out group numbers soon. I signed up with 3 different email accounts so hopefully I’ll get a decent group number to make my selections. Last year I ended up at the Padre’s Parkade which worked pretty well…not the closest, but not too far away either. It was certainly better than taking the trolley.
