Rambling Thoughts
Rambling thoughts today about the Game of Thrones season 6 opener, running a marathon in space, and the latest X-Men trailer.
Game of Thrones Returns!!!
Wow, what an episode. They managed to touch on almost every part of the story even though they had to push Bran off to the “next time on…” section (at least I think I saw him or maybe I was just talking about him during the end of the show). I’m still a bit confused as to who’s alive and wasn’t in the first episode and who died last season. But I’m sure things will sort themselves out soon enough. Poor Dr. Bashir…you get to be in season 6 but you die in the first episode – I think there is gonna be a reckoning with Dorne at some point, I just wonder who is gonna smack them around.
In any case, I fear this may be the last season for Brienne of Tarth…she’s just too likable and now that she has a noble to follow around I think she may finally have a chance to give her life saving someone…Sansa. I certainly hope not, but I can’t stop feeling that the writers are setting us up for a big loss – similar to what happened with Jon Snow last season.
Congratulations
Wow, the second marathon in space was run up on the ISS this weekend and in record time. Tim Peake ran the 26.2 (60,000+) mile London Marathon in 3 hours and 35 minutes – what an accomplishment.
X-Men Age of Apocalypse
This is looking good…another good year of comic book movies.
