95 Days Until San Diego Comic-Con 2016

San Diego Comic-Con is home to the Eisner Awards and while I’ve never attended the ceremony, I always want to know who’s been nominated and who’s won. The Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards are considered the Oscars of the comics industry and you can know you are reading a quality book if it’s won the award. Over the years, comics like The a Walking Dead, Watchmen, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Sandman, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer have been nominated many times and won. 

I’d like to cover some of the nominees and winners this year, but they haven’t been announced yet, so I’ll have to look at last year’s Eisners. Last year, there were some really good newcomers so I thought I’d start there.

Winner: Lumberjanes

I’m pretty sure the Marvel titles are available with my Marvel Unlimited subscription so I think I’ll give them a read and see what I think of the comics that were nominated for best new series.
