Opening Day 2016
Today is Opening Day in MLB and as usual, I'm excited for the season. My Angels didn't do much of note during the offseason, but I think they have potential this season. The only issue with them making the post season I see is that the AL West looks to be pretty strong this year.
Regardless, the team has one of the best players of this generation in Mike Trout so they'll be fun to watch. I'm hoping for 90 wins which would put them close to the playoffs, but we'll see how well they do as the games get going.
Today only has 3 games, and it took me a bit to remember who won the World Series last year, but the Mets and Royals fave off in the rematch, and I'd be surprised to see these two teams in the Series again this year. I'm actually pulling, aside from my Angels, for the Cubs. It's been over 100 years since they won it all and I think they might have a team that could put over a century of hard luck behind them.
In any case, everyone has a chance at this point in the season and I wish them all luck.
