What I Did While Waiting for Registration
- 8am log into the lobby knowing it will be a long hour wait
- Watch the blue circle spin
- Listen to my audiobook – Ancillary Justice some more – really enjoying this one.
- Play an game of League of Legends – my latest main is Nami. I like her heals but she does ZERO damage
- 9am and the message shifts from the message I've been staring at for and hour to something about them grouping people so they can be let into registration in batches.
- Watch the blue circle spin
- Make sure I've got all my registration information ready – member ID, password, credit card information – I already did this before entering the lobby at 8am, but I'm doing it again.
- Checked my Clash of Clans status – we are in a clan war, actually the war just started about the same time registration started. Unfortunately, I am only a war spectator and not a participant. Now they're moving customers into their registration sessions…watch the blue circle.
- Someone just got a 3 star in our CoC war – yippie!
- Wondering if there is a sound associated with being able to start purchasing tickets…I think not, but that would make things so much nicer I wouldn't have to stare at the blue circle, I could wait till I heard a chime or something.
Then I got a call from a co-worker…They were in…They got me a ticket to preview night – I was set for the whole con – wohoo!!!!
My sessions were still displaying a spinning blue circle…
Oh, but Preview Night was now sold out…it was 9:25 – tickets go so fast.
