Dungeon Boss
While I haven't had much time for gaming lately, I have listened to a few podcasts. One that I listen to each week is Boop! In it, Scott Johnson talks about the latest gaming news and what he's been playing around with and such. It's pretty good, and this week he mentioned how he was enjoying Dungeon Boss.
Dungeon Boss is a fun little mobile game that I downloaded for my iPad and iPhone. It seems to be one of the standard time = energy = playtime = spend money for more energy type games, but it's fairly fun.
You summon heroes to fight for you and go off adventuring through the dungeons. I unlocked the second hero, which didn't take long, so I was able to use a melee and a ranged champ, but it didn't seem like it made much difference everyone can attack everyone else so far. Each hero did get some bonuses for certain enemies – some were susceptible to ranged attacks, others were weak against fire attacks, and I assume there will be other bonuses and debuffs in the game…My guys are on the left up there.
With a name like Dugeon Boss, there are as expected, bosses. Here is Jadehowl, who is one of the early bosses, none of which have been too thought yet.
And here's Prunefingers, another boss.
In all, the game is pretty fun. So far I haven't gone very far – I haven't even got to the point where they ask for money yet, but I figure that is coming up soon. This should be a nice diversion I can zone out with when I need a five minute break from work or something.
While I just can’t do mobile games (I lose interest so quickly!), I do want to thank you for sharing the podcast! I now have added almost all of the ones available on their site, and I’m looking forward to catching up on them. 🙂
