Blaugust Day 29 – Daily Blogging

Found out the answer to my PS4 question from yesterday, though I still am shopping for a laptop; I also ramble about daily rambling.

Playstation 4 Screen and Video Catpure

So…I guess the PS4 comes with a screen capture utility built in. It looks like both XBox One and PS4 both have some kind of sharing capabilities built in to try to extend their appeal to streamers and you tubers. I'll give the built in one a shot first and see if it works the way I want, if not, I can always move up to something stand-alone.

Daily Blogging

Blaugust has been fun again – stressful, but fun. I actually started daily posting a few weeks before Blaugust started because I was inspired by Belghast over at Tales of the Aggronaut. I participated in the first Blaugust event last year but it seemed so much more difficult than this year. I'm not sure if that's because I have just been blogging more this past year or because I have more to say – it's probably because I am just a bit better at coming up with stuff that I'm interested in rambling about. I also have given up on any predefined length of post – I just go with the flow and whatever size post comes out, I run with it.

I have no delusions that I will ever be as prolific as Belghast or many of my fellow bloggers, or produce the quality that I see them put out on a regular basis. But I like what I am doing and I know I can always work to get better. And anyway, I have all kinds of ideas for what I would like to ramble about.

I think the main thing for me is, I do this because I want to do it. For me, this is a nice diversion. A creative outlet that I know is not going to be the next great American novel, but at least I am putting pen to paper – or at least fingers to keyboard – and I am enjoying it. Maybe I'll keep posting every day, maybe I'll only post once a month? I don't know down the line, but I am having fun with daily right now, so I'm gonna stick with it. Who knows, maybe I'll keep it up through Blaugust 2016 and beyond?

  1. We all feel everyone else is blogging way mo’ better than we are — at least, I do. But that’s just insecurity. One thing I’ve noticed this Blaugust is that everyone has a voice, and everyone is interesting to someone — and as a whole the Blaugustians write rather well. I can say that with AUTHORITAAAA since I have a literature degree.

    That said, I’m glad it’s over. I’m looking forward to a day off! (Because post scheduling is for wimps — and people who are coordinated enough to fill in the scheduling part instead of hitting PUBLISH out of habit. :/ )
