Blaugust Day 11 – Queue Down
Ranked Queue Down
I was pretty bummed this morning when I went 5/0/8 with Morgana mid lane when I got to the end game victory screen. For some reason, the ranked queues were turned off and I was instead playing a normal draft game. I thought I made a significant step towards Silver, but no joy. I'll just have to do as well next game.
Sword Coast Legends
Listening to an episode of the Tome Show yesterday, I heard about a game coming out in the fall that looks pretty good. Sword Coast Legends is supposed to be based on the D&D 5th edition rules and it allows you to play with a party of 4 friends and even have a DM that can create a campaign and then play the monsters that you fight.
Civilization V
So since the ranked queue was off-line I decided to fire up a game of Civilization V. I didn't get too far but I did get started. I picked random civilization and got assigned Egypt. Here are the details of Egypt's special ability, building and units.
I founded Thebes right where my settler started and quickly began researching mining since I had gold right next to my city and I began producing a scout to go exploring for me.
A couple turns later and my warrior ran into some ruins and became a spearman. That should help in defense against any barbarians that happen to show up.
Finally in my quick little start, I found a city state of Florence and I think I will try to befriend them.
That's all the time I had this morning to put in. I wish I had seen that the ranked queues were down before I spent 45 minutes playing a non-ranked game in League of Legends. I couldn't really get much of a good start going with Egypt. Oh well, There's always tomorrow.
It's still not too late to join Blaugust – just go to the initiative page at Tales of the Aggronaut or take a look at the Blaugust Nook on Anook.
