Announcing that the Announcement will be Announced

Actually this post is more about Blaugust than any announcement, but WoW is getting an expansion announcement in August.

Blaugust is Coming!

Wow! Only one more day until Blaugust. I can't say I'm anymore ready for this year than last, but I have been working to put out at least the semblance of a post every day for about a month already. Hopefully I can keep it up.

In any case, Blaugust is a great challenge. It's fun, but difficult at the same time. Coming up with posts for each day of the month is not always easy but the comraderie helps since you know there are others in the same boat. And there are days where we can all feed off each other's inspiration to keep us going.

Belghast from Tales of the Aggronaut is once again heading things up and keeping an eye out for people. I think this is a really wonderful thing he does every year to encourage friendship and teamwork in the gaming and geeky blogosphere. He's utilized Anook again to, which I think is a great place to consolidate all kinds of gaming communities – so I think this year will be another fun experience.

So as of Bel's post this morning, there are 47 of us intrepid adventurers looking to make it through Blaugust this year. Check out his post for the current list – I'll put a list together once the month gets going. I'd like to wish everyone good luck this year and hope to make many new friends.

WoW expansion

Blizzard announced that they will make an announcement August 6th about their next expansion for World of Warcraft.

Pretty exciting news, but then again, this means the clock is ticking on my getting to max level before it gets even further away. I had better start soon – I think my main Druid is level 91.
