Assassins, Angels, and the World Cup

Attempt at Assassin in HotS

So after complaining about having to play roles that I don't do well at, I got a daily quest of participating in three games as an assassin. That's one of my worst roles. Well since I had another daily quest asking me to play another two games as a StarCraft champion I decided to give Raynor a shot. It didn't go so well. The two matches went pretty quickly and I lost both of them. The first was a battle on the spider queen map and the second was a battle on the new Battlefield of Eternity map. Neither out one of them was beneficial to my crummy play style as an assassin. My third game I played as Valla. I'm a little bit better with her, but at the same time I still played very poorly. At least with Valla I have an escape that can get me out of trouble at times. I don't die as much playing Valla as I did playing Raynor. I wish I had read the comments from my last post before I played because I would've then just gone ahead and played against bots. That would've given me a better chance at winning. Oh well maybe the next daily quest won't be as bad.

Angels at the halfway point

The Angels started out the season fairly mediocre they haven't gotten much better but they do have a winning record at the halfway mark. I would feel a lot better if they weren't near the bottom in runs scored, but they are doing fairly well and they're pitching has been doing okay as well. Mike Trout is his usual dominant self and Albert Pujols is playing like it was 10 years ago. I believe he currently leads the American League in home runs or is very close. The two of them have really been carrying the team during the first half. They are currently 4 games behind Houston in the American League West and they are on top of the wild card standings so they aren't doing bad. Hopefully they will continue their good play and get even better as the season continues. With the All Star break coming, I think they are in a good position to push to the top in the second half.

Congrats to England

Congrats to England in winning their third place match in the World Cup. Their victory over top ranked Germany was well played and kinda makes up for giving Japan the victory in their previous game. Up next – United States vs Japan in the championship game.
