Garrison and Coliseum

Wouldn't it be cool if we could design the look and layout of our garrison? Perhaps we can…I just built mine so I don't know, but I wouldn't mind having it look like the coliseum from The Game of Thrones. Put a dragon in there and I'd be set.

Finally built my Garrison

It's taken a few months, but I finally put in the time to build my garrison and I am kinda surprised that I got to it so quickly.

With the way everyone talks about them, I thought it would take me a few levels to get to the point of having my own home on this side of the portal. Maybe all the effort is exerted in developing the different buildings, but right now, it just looks like my little piece of Orgrimmar – same thing I've looked at for years. Well, I plan on doing the leveling thing so I can see the end game…who knows, maybe I'll get there before 6.2 drops so I can experience it with the rest of the world.

Game of Thrones – Dance of Dragons

Once you burn a child at the stake, where else is there to go? We may find out in future seasons of The Game of Thrones, but I think many expect them to be done with the shocks for this season. For me, I'll never say never for this show – there is always somewhere else taboo to go.

I prefer to focus on the story telling, costuming, and cinematography. And of course, the Dragons. This episode had it all! I loved the design and artwork they put together for the huge Coliseum. They did their research and really made it look similar to how things would have been in Ancient Rome. The Dragon animation and flying around in the coliseum was awesome too. We finally got an extended scene with one of the dragons and the CGI artists did not let us down. And who thought we would get to see Daenerys fly on the back of one of them? I am impressed!

I do wonder when Dany is going to finally get tired of sitting in one place. She's been stalled on her quest for the Iron Throne for way too long and as she found out, the longer she sits in Meereen, the more enemies she is going to encounter. With the season finale next week, I don't see her doing much leaving, but she may burn the city to the ground to kill all the Sons of the Harpy.

I pretty much get the feeling that this episode was kinda the end of the tale for Dany this season, sorta like we seemed to end the story of The Nightwatch last week. Sure, there are loose ends, but those will be taken up next season. I think the last episode will focus on events in Kings Landing and the religious fanatics there. Will the king get some balls and save his mother and queen or will the High Sparrow kill one or both of them?

I hate that there are only 10 episodes a season.

Constantine is Dead

Sadly Constantine has been officially cancelled. When NBC cancelled the show a few months ago, there were hopes that the producers would find another home for the comic book based show, but they have finally thrown in the towel. I enjoyed the show and wanted to see where the darkness of the adaptation would go, but it never seems to have grabbed a large audience. Getting stuck on NBC probably contributed to the downfall since the mixture of the occult and religion seemed more geared for the CW (except they didn't have all the petty faces). In any case, I am placing the Hellblazer comics on my reading list to see how they deal with the interesting storyline.
