This month has been absolutely crazy busy. No time for games. No time for blogging. No time to participate in the Newbie Blogger Initiative.

Ragefire Everquest server

I was able to create a character in the Ragefire Everquest progression server.

Naviwhistle is my Bard. I'm not sure if she will be my main, but she was the first character I created when I got in. Which in itself was a challenge. The server seems to be pretty good now that they fixed the level 50 cheaters and set up a queue for log in, but it still takes a while most days to get in.

People are already killing some pretty significant named mobs but I am taking things slow.

I never got into EQ much back in the day – I had a Necromancer that I leveled up to 12, but that was about it. I moved over to City of Heroes and then WoW when they came out and those were my main entry into MMOs. I always remember avoiding EQ as long as I could because of the reputation it had in being a huge time sink. But I did play it a bit – enough to learn what grinding was all about.

With Ragefire, I figure I will give the game another shot and have some fun exploring a world created last century.
