CoC Town Hall 6

Messy City

It seems like it has taken forever, but I finally made it to level 6 with my town hall in Clash of Clans.

Granted, I haven't been focusing on my village over the holidays, but I did manage to gather the gold to update things. It's interesting that many of the buildings I maxed out pre 6 are still at their max level. Apparently level 10 is the highest my resource buildings can go until town hall level 7, and that is gonna take 1.2 million gold. I can currently hold a million gold in my storage, but I can upgrade them to level 10 and I should be able to hold enough at that point. In the mean time, I need to update walls and rearrange my buildings. It's been a while since I moved things around – I think it was level 4 when I last organized things, and have kinda let things grow organically since.

Town Hall Level 7

Now that the holidays are over, I am going to get back to work in this game. I need to rearrange the deck chairs and start working to gain trophies so I can move out of the bottom 5 in my clan. Right now, I sit at #45 out of 50 but with a little work, I am sure I can bump myself higher. More to the point, though, I need to work on my tactics so I can contribute more during our clan wars. I was pretty useless at level 5, and will be a bit more helpful at level 6, but I want to get to town hall 7 ASAP so I can really start to participate in the wars. Actually, looking at the others in the bottom of our clan, there are only a few of us under level 7 town hall, so I better get with the program.

Build Healers for Attack

As Syncaine leader of our clan mentions in his posts over at Hardcore Casual, the real change happens around town hall 8. But before then, I have been focusing on Giants and Healers for my troops. Finally, now that I am level 6, I will be able to build up my barracks to 8 so I can recruit my own healers. Up to this point I've had to rely on my clan during wars to donate healers and I went without during non-clan attacks. In any case, I think my jump to town hall 6 will kickstart my development so I can become a more relevant member of my clan.

The game is fun and does not take too much time to do decently, but when you want to advance, you have to put in more effort – at least until you get to higher level buildings. It's not to tough to do though since I always have my iPhone/iPad with me.
