Lunges Hurt the Next Day

Day 4:

  • Running – 15:05 = 1.18 miles
  • 2×12 push-ups = 24 push-ups
  • 2×30 second planks = 60 seconds plank

Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! I am so wiped out from yesterday's lunges and squats, I think I may have overdid it a bit. My quadriceps are pretty sore today and I am glad I decided to take it a bit easier today. Since I am just starting out, I probably should have done fewer reps yesterday. I have learned my lesson..at least for today.

 

Totals:

  • Running – 57:54 minutes = 4.37 miles
  • 80 push-ups
  • 150 seconds plank
  • 20 Lunges
  • 20 Squats
  • 10 jumping-jacks, 10 cross-jacks, 10 high knee jacks

Tomorrow I am taking the day off. Rest and recovery is an important part of any exercise plan and after the pain I am in from the squats and lunges, I need the rest.
